Hello, My name is Scott Nightingale, and a love for woodworking runs generations deep in my family.
My father and grandfather had passions for wood. They built and maintained wooden boats, working with anything wooden around their homes or business was always a labor of love. My earliest memories of woodworking are from grampa working on his projects and calling it his “therapy”. It never failed to fascinate me, seeing what a piece of wood looked like after dad and grampa applied their magic to it.
I have had a fascination with wood ever since I was able to hold a tool, but I didn’t get into it as a career until after studying Fine Arts and Art History in college. I started a career in cabinetmaking and upholstery and became acquainted with the antiques industry, through a friend who managed a moving and storage company which catered to high end antiques shoppes, auction houses and knowledgeable individuals.
The most rewarding aspect of restoration for me, has always been the connection I feel into the soul the original artist through his work… and breathing new life into that artists creation. It’s always extremely rewarding for me to bring a piece of history back to life.
Restoring antiques is not a job for me, it’s a way of life. As the owner/operator of a company that bears my family’s name, I value my reputation above all else. I also value my clients trust in me and treat their needs and concerns as if they were family.
Let my experience, passion and quality craftsmanship preserve the value of your furniture.
